I think I might be getting hooked on making my own tools. I cut a lot of rabbets and dados on the table saw, but the the dado stack usually leaves ridges. Then I have to use a chisel to clean out the channel. The easier way is to use a router plane. I had been wanting to get one for sometime, but they aren’t cheap. And as a woodworker, I thought why buy when I can build it. After a little research on the web, I came across Derek Cohen’s website and so the build began.
